RESTORING INTEGRITY.

ENFORCING THE LAW.

PROTECTING NEBRASKA FAMILIES.

Jocelyn Brasher is a prosecutor and consumer protection attorney who spent five years inside the Nebraska Attorney General's office before it was turned into a platform for political games. She's running to return the office to its real mission: protecting all Nebraskans - our children, our seniors, our workers, and our communities - with independence and integrity.

Nebraskans deserve a people’s lawyer - not a politician playing one.

Nebraska has always been home for Jocelyn. Born on Offutt Air Force Base and raised in Nebraska, she grew up surrounded by a family that believed service to others was not just important — it was expected. With a father and grandfathers who served in the United States military, Jocelyn learned early on the values that would shape her life: responsibility, integrity, hard work, doing the right thing even when it’s hard, and putting people over politics.

After graduating from Bennington high school, Jocelyn left home to attend Auburn University, where she earned her degree in Philosophy. But no matter where life took her, Nebraska was always where she wanted to build her future. She returned home to attend Creighton University School of Law, earning Certificates of Concentration in Criminal Law and Procedure and Litigation. Determined and driven, she completed law school in just two-and-a-half years, graduating in December 2015 before becoming licensed to practice law in Nebraska in 2016.

From the very beginning of her legal career, Jocelyn chose a path of public service. While still in law school, she clerked in the Douglas County Attorney’s Office Juvenile Division, where she gained real courtroom experience and even argued before the Nebraska Court of Appeals twice. Soon after graduation, she moved to Lexington, Nebraska, to serve as Deputy Dawson County Attorney, leading the child support enforcement division and working directly with families and advocating for children.

Jocelyn later joined the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, where she spent five years in the Consumer Protection Bureau fighting to protect Nebraskans from fraud, deception, and unfair trade practices. Jocelyn took on leadership roles in complex multistate investigations alongside attorneys general across the country and in coordination with federal agencies. Through those efforts, she built strong relationships and earned a reputation as a thoughtful, hardworking attorney focused on getting real results for consumers.

After her time at the Attorney General’s Office, Jocelyn continued her commitment to public safety as a Deputy Dodge County Attorney, prosecuting misdemeanor and felony crimes to help keep Nebraska communities safe.

Over the course of her career, Jocelyn has worked in local and state government offices across Nebraska. She understands how the Attorney General’s Office operates because she has lived the work firsthand. She knows where the office succeeds, where it can improve, and what it takes to lead it with integrity, efficiency, and independence from day one.

But for Jocelyn, service has never been limited to a job title. While working in private practice at Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP, she organized and led a firm-wide clothing drive benefiting the Women’s Center for Advancement, bringing coworkers together to support women and families in the Omaha community. She believes leadership means showing up for people — not only in courtrooms and offices, but in everyday moments where communities need support the most.

Today, Jocelyn is running for Attorney General because she believes Nebraska deserves a people’s lawyer — someone who understands the responsibility of the office and who will always put Nebraskans first. She would be deeply honored for the opportunity to once again serve the state she has always proudly called home.

WHY I’M RUNNING

“I know what this office can do when it’s focused on Nebraskans. I worked there. I have a proven track record protecting consumers. I know how to run this office and make it work for the people again.”

- Jocelyn Brasher

I’m running for Attorney General because I believe the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office should work for all Nebraskans — not a political agenda, one party, or any other elected office or official. I have seen firsthand how important an independent, principled Attorney General is to protecting families, consumers, and communities.

My experience has taught me that public safety, consumer protection, affordability, and protecting children are not partisan issues — they are Nebraska issues. I’m running to restore integrity, uphold the law, respects Nebraska voters, and ensure the Attorney General’s Office always puts Nebraskans first.

JOCELYN’S PROVEN TRACK RECORD

As an Assistant Attorney General in Nebraska, Jocelyn saw firsthand how deeply unfair and deceptive business practices can impact everyday people — families trying to make ends meet, students investing in their future, seniors living on fixed incomes, and consumers simply trying to trust the systems meant to protect them. That work became personal to her.

During her five years in the Attorney General’s Office, she helped enforce state and federal consumer protection laws across industries including health care, financial services, education, pharmaceuticals, autos, and charitable organizations. She took on leadership roles in major enforcement actions, including a 41-state $35 million settlement with Tempoe, LLC - providing real relief to consumers harmed by unlawful business practices.

Each of these experiences strengthened and prepared her to lead the AG’s Office. Jocelyn believes that protecting consumers is one of the AGs most important responsibilities; and the AG’s Office should serve as a strong, independent watchdog for Nebraskans by listening to constituents, focusing on the issues impacting everyday people here at home, and using consumer protection and antitrust laws to promote fair competition, prevent price gouging, and help keep life affordable for working families across the state.
